The UK Government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme now offers up to £9,000 for eligible off-gas-grid homes in England and Wales switching from oil or LPG heating to an air source heat pump. Applications for the increased grant value are available from July 2026.
What Is The Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government-backed grant designed to help homeowners and landlords replace fossil fuel heating systems with low-carbon alternatives such as air source heat pumps.
As a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited installer, we'll administer the grant with Ofgem on your behalf, and deduct the grant amount from your full heat pump system quote.
